Comparisons..
THEY: So what do you think of Perth?? Which is better?? PERTH or BRISSY??
ME: For SPORTS; ie. FOOTY - BRISBANE RULEZ ok!!.. yar.. mayb a couple of years ago lar.. the Lions are an aging team.. sighz.. but I'm a hardcore loyal Brissy fella when it comes to sports.. I support the Lions - Footy and Broncos - NRL.. don't even talk to me abt rugby union.. I only watch Rugby Union for the internationals.. but if you are talkin abt domestic rugby games.. give me league anytime!! =)
Anyway.. back to Brissy vs. Perth.. well.. the weather is pretty much similar I reckon.. though Brissy could be more humid coz it's more tropical weather?? and it's cooler here in Perth.. but both states have a lot of outdoors type of stuff.. tourist attractions.. thats what I think anyways.. like in Qld.. I love the coasts.. Gold Coast.. totally tourisy place.. and then Noose/Sunshine Coast.. lovely.. so many places that is not spoilt by tourists yet..
In Perth.. you have ur South or North.. I have only gone down South.. Margaret River.. well Augusta being the furthest thus far.. more nature stuff I reckon.. over here that I do.. wineries, beaches, caves, treetop walks.. (in the future.. )
Urm.. I guess bottomline.. both places have their good points and bad kua..
I love Brissy.. but I'm beginning to love Perth too.. though pretty limited things to do.. but I reckon it's bcoz I do not know what are the happening stuff over here yet.. hheee.. not sure what I meant by that..
Oh I do know that I don't club here in Perth.. bcoz I see so many ang mohs.. and I'm pretty worried that it's not safe lar.. loads of ppl get drunk and become silly..
Whereas back in Brissy.. we have Asian clubs and I feel safer??
And I don't see that much drunks or rowdyness.. have to discount Ippy.. that's like a redneck city lar.. but it's getting better.. even though Pauline Hanson is from there.. lolz..
the Brissy city is also bigger I think.. but Swan River is better.. i think PErth city is built ard it.. so better scenery.. esp. South PErth.. lovely..
One thing that brings out the beauty of the rivers.. is the time when they have fireworks.. back in Brissy it was during the Riverfest in Sept.. really lovely time.. but can;t see much of the river.. crowded..
whereas.. in perth.. its the australia day in Jan.. just sitting by the river @ the Esplanade.. really splendid!! =)
wow!!
guess living in australia isnt so bad after all huh??
can't really hope for natural beauty in KL.. all the smog and dust and pollution.. and what river?? klang river?? city's sewerage in it.. yuckz!! =P
but then.. ok.. i know i'm digressing but KL do have it's own attractions which makes me long for it.. or mayb it's just a stupid thingy that I can't get over..
people would give an arm or mayb a leg too.. to be able to move to OZ.. to start a life here..
but I alwiz moan about how IF only my friends, the food (asian and mamak), the family were all here.. then it would truly be heaven.. mayb shoppin centres that don't shut til 10pm and open daily would help too.. =)
and the pasar mlms.. oh boy.. =)
can't have everything.. =P
I guess I need to start each new day.. and remember to give my best wherever I am.. or else how can I give myself a chance to enjoy this place called home..
So help me, God.. to love this place called Perth.. to make it my home for however long that I would be here for.. to make the best of it.. to be a history maker in this land of yours.. to make an impact.. to be your instrument.. to stop protesting about being here only temporary.. to stop being nonchalant about things.. to use my God given skills.. (fine.. not much there.. ) maybe even find a mate here.. hehe.. yar.. this is SO important.. haven't talked about girls in my blog for a while already..
GOd.. are you listening to my prayers?? When will I meet this girl?? the One that You have set apart for me?? LOrd.. is it soon?? Soon as in my type of timing.. not Your Heavenly timing.. which might be forever in terms of human time.. =)
but then.. I will end this with.. "Let Your Will be done, not mine.. but Yours,
O' Lord, my God.."
